Statement Regarding Death Reports About Clinicexpert
We feel compelled to address the recent reports, many of which are inaccurate or fabricated, that have been published without proper research. These stories have been taken from other sources, altered, and published as false and misleading news.
First, we would like to briefly explain the nature of plastic surgery operations in Turkey. There are two primary categories of services:
- Surgeries performed by the hospital’s or clinic’s in-house plastic surgeons.
- Surgeries performed by private-practice plastic surgeons who rent operating room facilities from hospitals or clinics.
The BBL operation that unfortunately resulted in a patient’s death at Clinicexpert was not performed by one of our in-house plastic surgeons. It was conducted by a private-practice surgeon who rented operating room services from us.
For this reason, Clinicexpert cannot be held responsible for the incident.
Clinicexpert has been providing operating room facilities for its own surgeons as well as hundreds of other plastic surgeons for 14 years. Is it fair to tarnish the reputation of an entire clinic and its doctors over a single unfortunate incident?
Another issue raised in the same reports concerns alleged organ theft. Some articles claim that parts of the patient’s brain, heart, and intestines were missing.
After the patient’s passing, Clinicexpert followed legal protocols by transferring the body to Turkey’s official Forensic Medicine Institution to investigate the cause of death. As is routine in all autopsies, small tissue samples may have been taken for examination.
- Brain transplants are not medically possible anywhere in the world.
- Heart transplants cannot be performed with partial organs, as the entire organ must be intact for such a procedure.
Thus, allegations of organ theft are entirely baseless and scientifically implausible.
In conclusion, these reports are based on speculation and contain inaccuracies that have been exaggerated for sensationalism.
